Even
though we do not advertise for donations or contributions
(other than on our website) we would like to offer 'Hosting
Homes', continue our Rescue Missions, Veterinarian Costs,
public awareness on common pet laws and issues, and encourage
spay/neutering.
'Hosting
Homes' are volunteers from all over the nation that are will to
offer a lost or found pet shelter, food, vet check-ups and
love until the owner(s) are found or we can find him/her a
permanent home. This will help to save an animal's life, cut
down the cost of euthanasia in most Shelters and also save
room for animals brought into Shelters off the street.
At
times we receive an email that a pet has been found and is
very ill, abused, malnourished, or hurt. KONA, through our
KONAVets Program, would be able to help cover the costs of
Veterinarian care given to that pet.
We
have, in the past, received phone calls from the PA State
Police, Security Officers from major Ski Resorts, and local
residents for assistance in rescuing a pet that is abandoned,
abused or lost. This requires our immediate attention and
traveling costs at times.
Donations
are needed for all of the above and for printing and mailing
costs, advertising our organization in newspapers nationwide,
phone calls to people posting out of state and more.
All donations are tax deductible and
when you send us your donation you will receive a receipt with the information you need
for your taxes.
